Six of us got together at R Place on Saturday, August 12th. It was nice to catch up on each other’s news and talk about issues such spouses and surviving spouses obtaining the new military ID cards.

Lianne and Pam also “attended” a MOAA National Zoom meeting for surviving spouses and spouses. SSP groups have important missions to support newly bereaved spouses, to share information, and to help MOAA advocate for laws and policies affecting military benefits. The group chat also talked about the importance of spouses preparing ahead of time for the loss of their servicemembers by discussing finances and legal matters and making sure they know where all the important documents and passwords are located.
