We had two of the ROTC leaders of the local programs at Presbyterian , Lander and Newberry Colleges. They told us about the local ROTC programs and how the chapter can help them.

Then Equine Heart Healers Ranch, owner Andrew Rutledge was our guest speaker. He talked about how the ranch focuses on helping veterans, first responders, those with post-traumatic stress disorder and other life-altering traumas, no one is turned away and assistance is free of charge. At Equine Heart Healers Ranch the mission is to help people connect with the horse and how to ride horses with ease. There are so many ways to connect with our horses, beside riding. Every precious moment spent with these regal animals is amazing and priceless. He talked about several people that have benefitted connecting with the horse by scratching that itchy spot that the horses can’t reach, talking and listening to them, and so many other things. He had some amazing pictures in hi presentation to show how well this works!
