      President
      Linda Caldwell CPT USA Former

                                         Linda Sharp Caldwell

      Linda Sharp Caldwell received her BS in Nursing from the University of San Francisco and her MS in Nursing from Rutgers University.  During her 47 year career she served as a Captain in the Army Nurse Corps, conducted research at a university hospital, taught nursing in an associate degree program, and, while working as a clinical specialist, developed oncology programs in two New Jersey community hospitals.  Linda also worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Schering-Plough Corporation for fifteen years in a variety of roles including professional services, managing research studies, and Director of Clinical Consultants.

      In 1990, she was featured on a segment of NBC’s “Unsolved Mysteries” for her work in Vietnam as an Army nurse at the 67th Evac Hospital in Qui Nhon.  

      Linda served as Secretary and 1st VP of the SC Council of MOAA Chapters; is past president, 1st VP, and 2nd VP of the Aiken MOAA Chapter; is a member of the Aiken County Veterans Council, VFW Chapter # 5877, American Legion Post #26, and VVA Chapter # 1145.  She currently serves as secretary of  the Trenton Chapter, DAR, is a board member of Our Community Salutes, Midlands SC Chapter, and initiated and is Director of the Aiken County Hometown Hero Banner Project.  She is a Life Member of the Military Officers Association of America, Vietnam Veterans of America, and the Oncology Nursing Society. 

      Linda and her husband, Brent, a former US Air Force officer, have three daughters and four grandchildren.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, doing counted cross stitch, and reading mystery novels.
