Guest Speaker BIO:
 
Martin. Andrew represents Lockheed Martin to federal, state, and local officials across the Southeast. He is based at Lockheed Martin’s Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) business in Marietta, GA. He leads legislative and economic development efforts for the AMMM and Integrated Fighter Group lines of business and serves as external affairs site lead for production facilities in GA, SC, FL, MS, and WV. He previously served as Director of Federal Relations for the University of Georgia base d in Washington, DC. In that role, he served as the university’s primary liaison to Congress, federal departments, and agencies, as well as higher education associations and advocacy groups. Prior to UGA, he was Manager of Operations and Policy for General Electric and is a graduate of GE’s Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP). He began his career with United States Senator Johnny Isakson in 2007.

Andrew was recognized as a member of the University of Georgia’s 40 under 40 class in 2017. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Business Executives in National Security (BENS), South Carolina Manufacturing Association (SCMA) and USO Georgia. He also serves as Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee and on the Executive Committee of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In 2020, the Cobb Chamber recognized him with the Len Gilbert Award which recognizes outstanding leadership and service to the Cobb Chamber. He is the past president of the Georgia State Society and co-founded the Georgia Business Council both based in Washington, DC.

He graduated with a double major from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and School of Public and International Affairs in 2006. He holds bachelor's degrees in risk management and insurance and political science. During his time at UGA, he was an Earl T. Leonard Leadership Scholar, President of the Blue Key Honor Society, and a Richard B. Russell Leadership Fellow. He is originally from Ponte Vedra, FL and enjoys golf, traveling and grilling.
